Description

Over a 3 day period, Learners will gain knowledge in areas such as; developing a culture of learning in their workplace, understand strategies in the mentoring process, creating a mentoring programme and much more!

Who is this course for?

The QA Level 4 Award in Mentoring Ambulance and Emergency Services Personnel (RQF) is ideal for experienced ambulance and emergency services personnel who are looking to progress their careers by gaining the skills required to become a mentor, supervisor or team leader responsible for learning and development in the workplace.

Prerequisites

Learners must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the training and be occupationally competent in the area they are mentoring.

To generate evidence of mentoring to complete this qualification, Learners must have access to a minimum of 1 mentee:

  • Registered on and working towards a qualification or
  • Who requires support in their workplace

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people. It also allows Learners to practise a range of techniques that they can apply to their workplace.
The purpose of this course is to improve the performance of trainers delivering short training modules. The programme will be run over five days and will consist of lectures and workshops. A practical exercise plan will form part of one of the lectures. Course members will be expected to give presentations during the course.
