SMT celebrating MNTB recognition for Working At Height and Rescue and Entry into Enclosed/Dangerous Spaces training.
Stream Marine Training is proud announce that as of January 19th 2017 we are now the first maritime training institute to have MNTB recognition for their Working at Height/Rescue and Entry into Enclosed/Dangerous Spaces training.
Despite high profile campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers when entering enclosed spaces, fatalities are still occurring far too often within the industry. Our course has now been recognised by the Merchant Navy Training Board as providing in-depth training on the hazards that seafarers may encounter as well as giving them the knowledge to safely deal with emergency situations. This training package is designed to give confidence to those working within these dangerous environments and try to establish a safety culture among seafarers.
Falls and injuries as a result of poor procedures when personnel are working at height also contributes to the a high number of injuries and loss of work days within the maritime sector. Our course teaches safety techniques and equipment required when working at height, but it also provides those attending with the processes to rescue personnel who may have become incapacitated at high levels.
At Stream Marine Training we pride ourselves in listening to feedback from industry and developing courses which are not only relevant but are at a cost accessible to all.
We shall be running both courses on a weekly basis throughout the year, for any queries or further information regarding future dates or any general information please don’t hesitate to contact our bookings team on 0141 212 8777 or firstname.lastname@example.org who will be happy to assist.
