                            Who is this course for?

                            Stay safe—and fully compliant—aloft with our Maritime Working-at-Height & Rescue Course, the industry-standard programme built around the UK Work at Height Regulations 2005, MCA MGN 410 (M+) “Safe Working Aloft” guidance, IMO MSC.1/Circ.1401 ladder-safety advice and BS 8437 best practice. Ideal for deck and engine crews, bosuns, riggers, crane or derrick operators, wind-farm and offshore technicians, superintendents, ship-yard teams and rope-access contractors, this two-day course gives you the skills to

                            • carry out task-specific risk assessments and select the safest access method;

                            • inspect, don and maintain fall-arrest harnesses, twin-lanyard systems and inertia reels;

                            • rig temporary lifelines, overside stages and personnel-hoist arrangements in line with LOLER/PUWER;

                            • ascend fixed ladders, masts or accommodation ladders using backup devices;

                            • execute rapid casualty retrievals with rescue kits, stretcher rigging and suspension-trauma mitigation.

                            Practical modules use shipboard mock-ups and confined-space towers to replicate real deck, mast and overside scenarios, while classroom sessions analyse recent fall-from-height incidents to embed a just-culture mindset.

                            Why enrol? Falls from height remain the leading cause of serious shipboard injuries and P&I claims. A current Working-at-Height & Rescue certificate satisfies flag-state auditors, port-state control and offshore-client inductions, proving you can protect personnel, schedules and reputations while boosting your own employability across blue-water, offshore and renewable-energy sectors.
