SMT Marine Evacuation System (MES)

The Marine Evacuation System training (MES) course is designed to provide initial familiarisation or support to existing training onboard following the guidelines of MGN 558. The MES course structure provides a balance of theory and practical exercises in conjunction with manufacturers guidelines and client’s safety management system procedures. Familiarisation in Marine Evacuation encompassing the following elements:

  • Lifesaving Equipment
  • Release Systems
  • Deployment of Survitec Zodiac MES MIS
  • Additional Rafts
  • Completion of Evacuation
  • Means of Rescue (MOR)
  • Other Types of System

Certification

Once completed, candidates will be awarded with the SMT Marine Evacuation System Certificate.
