Stream Marine Training (SMT) is proud to unveil its latest course, the OPITO-approved BOSIET with CA-EBS – STCW 95/2010 Conversion, developed in response to growing demand for cross-sector safety training.
This conversion course offers a streamlined route for seafarers and maritime professionals with a valid STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) certificate to gain OPITO BOSIET certification, required for offshore oil and gas roles. Delegates can now bypass the full BOSIET programme and complete a condensed, cost-effective version tailored to their existing qualifications.
The course is available in two formats:
1-day option for those who already hold a valid MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) certificate
3-day option for those completing MIST as part of the course
Delivered at SMT’s state-of-the-art training facility near Glasgow International Airport, the course includes:
– Helicopter safety and emergency escape training
– CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) use and procedures
– Offshore survival techniques
– Firefighting and self-rescue scenarios
“This new conversion course is a direct response to industry demand for a more efficient route into the offshore workforce. We’re proud to continue developing training that helps experienced professionals upskill and cross sectors while maintaining the highest safety standards.”
— Katy Womersley, Group Operations Director at SMT
