Stream Marine Training offers MCA-approved Basic and Advanced IGF Code courses, designed to meet the international standards set by the IMO for ships using gases or other low-flashpoint fuels. Training is delivered at our state-of-the-art campus near Glasgow Airport by expert maritime instructors with real-world experience in LNG and alternative fuel operations.

5 Days
This course covers the hazards, operational requirements and safety considerations of working with low flashpoint fuels covered by the IGF code.
We will enhance the training experience with practical experiences, and the course will cover the safety of operations in depth.
MCA approved STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Training for Service on Ships Using Fuels covered within the IGF code.
- The learner understands the chemical and physical properties of fuels covered within the IGF Code and control measures associated with their use as a fuel.

The learner is able to safely manage the fuel processes and practices on vessels using fuels covered within the IGF Code.

The learner is able to safely manage the fuel systems in compliance with legislative requirements.

The learner is able to manage health, safety, emergency response and environmental precautions in working on vessels using fuels covered within the IGF Code.
- 1 month seatime on ships covered by the IGF code
- At least 3 bunkering operations on IGF code vessels
- STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Basic Training for Service on Ships Using Fuels covered within the IGF code.
Senior Officers engaged in the planning and operation of machinery on IGF code vessels.

2 Days
The MCA approved Basic Training for Service on Ships using Fuels Covered within the IGF Code intends to provide a basic training for seafarers responsible for designated safety duties associated with the care, use or in emergency response to the fuels on board ships subject to the IGF code.

MCA approved STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Basic training for Service on Ships Using Fuels Covered Within the IGF code.

Photographic ID (A Government issued, photographic proof of identity on the day of the course and this should take the form of either a valid Passport or a driving license or a valid discharge book).
Officers and ratings who are responsible for designated safety duties associated with the care, use or in emergency response to the fuel on board ships subject to the IGF Code.

The Bahamas Maritime Authority approved Online Basic Training for Service on Ships using Fuels Covered within the IGF Code intends to provide a basic training for seafarers responsible for designated safety duties associated with the care, use or in emergency response to the fuels on board ships subject to the IGF code.
