UPDATING PROFICIENCY IN FAST RESCUE BOAT

This course is the STCW approved course for anyone working as core crew on a merchant vessel and is accredited by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
OBJECTIVES:
Delegates attending this course will gain the necessary updating skills in Fast Rescue Boat handling under the STCW 2010 amendments including launch and recovery using single arm davits and. Search and rescue and casualty recovery at sea.

• Manoeuvring at speed and capsize recovery
• Familiarisation of launch davits
• Search and Rescue Techniques
Who’s it for?
Anyone who holds a valid FRB certificate which will be more than 5 years old on or before the 1st of January 2017 requires to update their FRB course accreditation before this date.
Prerequisites
Must hold a valid Fast Rescue Boat certificate. Exceptions apply
Award
Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved certificate under the Standard Training and Certification of Watchkeeper Act amended 2010. (STCW)
