STCW Updating Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boat (Route 1) is a hands-on course, focusing on launch and recovery using davits, for anyone working as core crew on a merchant vessel and is accredited by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).

This STCW course forms a vital part of training for those who must lead a fast rescue boat as well as any crew on a Merchant Navy vessel who are part of the FRB crew. FRBU Route 1 course is directed to seafarers with more experience, who have taken part in FRB drills within the last 5 years.

The FRBU is vital maritime training for any FRB crew on a Merchant Navy vessel. The STCW Updating Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats involves a blend of theory and practical experience. With a focus on launching and recovery using single arm davits, search and rescue and casualty recovery at sea as well as post capsize procedures.

The STCW Updated Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting provides a blend of practical experience and theory development for seafarers who have already achieved the STCW Advance Fire Fighting Certificate. This course forms part of your STCW update or refresher cycle.

The STCW Updated Proficiency in Advanced Firefighting (AFFU) provides theory development for seafarers who have already achieved the STCW Advance Firefighting certificate.

The STCW Proficiency in Medical Care On-board Update course is taught as a blend of practical experience and theory development. It is a mandatory course, that must be sat every five years upon completion of your last MCOBU or MCOB course. On completion, students will have been refreshed with sufficient knowledge of medical stores and equipment on board.

The Advanced IGF course is intended for Masters, Engineering officers and personnel with immediate responsibility for care/use of fuels and fuel systems on ships subject to the IGF Code.
