Following delivery of a pilot course in March 2022 The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) have approved Stream Marine Training (SMT) to deliver Basic Training for Service on Ships using Fuels Covered within the IGF Code online by webinar.

The courses meet the requirements of Regulation V/3 paragraph 4 and 7, Section A-V/3 paragraph 1 and 2 as specified in Table A-V/3-1 and Table A-V/3-2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).

Delivery of the courses via webinar offers savings in travel costs and time and may provide valuable benefits if conducted in connection with onboard training and familiarisation.
