SMC Cadet Nominated for Bevis Minter Award
One of Stream Marine Careers managed Cadet's was recently nominated for a prestigious award. Deck Cadet Gytis Kontrimas was nominated for the Bevis Minter award. Gytis is currently a phase three deck Cadet sponsored by Solstad Offshore and studying at The Scottish Maritime Academy in Peterhead. Sea Cadets Train at SMT
This weekend at SMT saw a special visit from the Glasgow Sea Cadets. Normally based at City of Glasgow College and Clydebank, the Sea Cadets made their way to both Stream Marine’s Training facilities at Glasgow airport and Greenock. Making sure to follow all strict Covid guidelines, the day began with going down the Mass Evacuation Slide, and the Sea Cadets learning how to safely evacuate a ship. (Read More...)
Katy Womersley confirmed as new Group Operations Director
Stream Marine Training Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Katy Womersley as the Group Operations Director. Katy will take over from Colin McMurray, who is joining Forth Valley College as a director in January 2022.Katy was a deck officer before coming ashore in 2005 to join Clyde Marine Training (CMT) as an STCW instructor.
